《虚幻勇士》讲述的是凯德学院的4位学生：任杰、陈迪、李奇、尤慧子与邪恶的人工智能程序夏之纳对抗的故事。任杰在离凯德学院不远的一座废弃工厂里发现了一台神秘的超级计算机，并且在好奇心的驱使下开启了这台神秘的超级计算机，之后发现了这台计算机运行着一个被称为兰科(Lyoko)的虚拟世界，并在虚拟世界发现了一位神秘女孩。任杰给她起了一个名字叫Maya，后来Maya从圆塔中得知自己叫董美娃，就在超级计算机被开启后，凯德学院发生了奇怪事件，任杰得知在兰科中还运行着一个被称为夏之纳的人工智能程序，它的目的就是逃离超级计算机并控制全世界，消灭它的办法就是永远的关闭计算机，但是这样做的话董美娃也会消失，任杰不希望这样，他要想办法让董美娃脱离超级计算机，在任杰想办法的这段时间里，夏之纳不断的向地球发动进攻，各种威胁人类生命的事情发生了，就在事情发生的时候，任杰结识了同班同学陈迪，李奇还有李奇在体育馆认识的尤慧子，他们共同抵抗着夏之纳的进攻，为了阻止夏之纳对地球的威胁，董美娃必需进入由夏之纳启动的圆塔中，并把它锁定，只有这样才能阻止夏之纳的攻击。在兰科中夏之纳制造了许多怪兽（攻击性程序）阻止董美娃进入圆塔，陈迪，李奇，尤慧子则通过扫描仪数字化后进入兰科帮助董美娃消灭怪兽。任杰则在现实世界这边操作着计算机并给在兰科的他们提供各种战术信息，在成功锁定圆塔后，任杰会启动时间倒转程序让时间回到夏之纳发动攻击之前的状态，但前提是在夏之纳发动攻击时没有人类伤亡，时间倒转程序并不能让死去的人复活。
在虚拟世界兰科中陈迪，李奇，尤慧子分别拥有100点生命点数，一旦生命点数归零，则扫描器程序会自动把他们实体化并送回现实世界，但董美娃的生命点数一旦归零则会被删除而不复存在（仅限前2季，第三季开始董美娃可以自由进出兰科），这会在故事后面发生重大改变

   The XANA supercalculator has mounted another attack against our planet. This time, it has taken control of little Milly's teddy bear.

2. 2. Seeing is believing

   While Odd is trying to form a new band, XANA takes control of the school's electricity supply.

3. 3. Holiday in the fog

   Jeremy manages to get grounded for the whole school holiday period. He wants to be there in case XANA decides to launch an attack over the break.

4. 4. Logbook

   Sissi uses Ulrich's diary against him so that he'll be forced to pay attention to her. The diary contains details of his secret activities.

5. 5. Big Bug

   XANA has created a computer virus and sent it out on the Internet. All the city's databases have been damaged.

6. 6. Cruel dilemma

   The Headmaster has decided to extend the gymnasium, and XANA wastes no time in turning the bulldozers from the construction zone into weapons.

7. 7. Image Problème

   Yumi disappears and then reappears inside one of the scanners in the factory. She's unconscious, so Jeremy, Ulrich and Odd take her to the infirmary.

   A movie director is planning to film his next movie in our heroes' factory. What will happen if he discovers the lab, the supercalculator and Lyokô?

   Right in the middle of science class, all the students' mobile phones start ringing. But when they answer, there's no one on the line.

    Jeremy has a serious problem: He's too intelligent, and his teachers believe he should attend a special high school for gifted children.

    The deserted factory gets a new lease on life. XANA has taken over every last mechanism.

    Yumi is feeling down because her parents, who are usually so close, have decided to have a trial separation.

16. 16. Claustrophobia

    There's a new kid in school. He becomes interested in Sissi immediately and must therefore deal with Hervé's animosity.

    Using a new machine in the school's physics and chemistry lab, XANA manages to create nanoviruses, tiny machines capable of attacking memory cells.

18. 18. Killer music

    When Odd is left alone, he goes into a strange trance-like state and stops moving. The next day, Sissi suffers the same fate.

19. 19. Frontier

    Following a heated discussion with Aelita, Jeremy decides that he has to go to Lyokô in person to meet his friend and ask her to forgive him.

20. 20. The robots

    XANA has taken control of the assembly line in the deserted factory. Hervé and Jeremy's droids are fighting each other in the gymnasium.

21. 21. Zero gravity zone

    All Ulrich can think about is the soccer final that's coming up. Just a few minutes before kick-off, XANA manages to create a zero-gravity zone.

22. 22. Routine

    Tired of Yumi's seeming indifference toward him, Ulrich spends time with another girl, which makes Yumi angry and starts a fight.

23. 23. Critical situation

    Odd has a crush on Sam, a rebellious teenager from a neighboring school. They have agreed to meet in secret inside the school grounds at Kadic.

24. 24. Ghost channel

    When Jeremy arrives in science class 12 hours earlier, he realizes that Odd, Yumi and Ulrich aren't there -- they haven't come back from Lyokô.

25. 25. Code : Earth

    Jeremy finishes the devirtualization program that will bring Aelita to life. They can all be together at last and put an end to the supercomputer!

26. 26. False start

    Aelita has been brought to life with resounding success, and now the time to destroy XANA has come! But when Jeremy pulls the plug, Aelita faints.
